BICYCLE REPAIR! (Daily 10:30am to 5:30pm)
Obviously. That's what we do. It's who we are! We have professional mechanics attacking bike problems all day long. Sometimes we have parts. If you're keen to learn, we'd love to teach you how to fix your own bike.
If you're reading this off-Playa, make sure to pack a 26 x 1.95-2.125" spare tube. Even if you don't need it, someone you know will. You know what, bring ten spare tubes and give them away!
BICYCLE REPAIR DEMONSTRATIONS (Daily 10:30am to 5:30pm)
We're already doing the repairs. Might as well show off to all of the people waiting to have their bike fixed. So, we're building a stage to show Burners how to repair thair own bike while they wait! Something about Radical Self-Reliance and such.
LEARN TO RIDE (Tuesday - Friday, 12pm to 1pm)
We have dozens of bikes and a patented* teaching method. Learn to ride a bicycle on a flat surface that is relatively forgiving. If you've ever wanted to learn, this is the time. Sober riders only. *Not patented.
I have a lot more to say about this here.
GROUP RIDES (TBD)
Hammer And Cyclery will be hosting themed rides that leave from camp and go to exciting places (like the trash fence). Still ironing out the details. Stay tuned!
