Seeking Bicycle Mechanics
|
We Need Bicycle MechanicsWe are a high volume bicycle repair camp. 2017 saw us gift bicycle repair to 1500 Burners during Burning Man. Our tiny camp did an amazing job, but the need for mechanics is endless (such is the need for bicycle repair on the Playa). So, we are looking to host even more mechanics in 2018. We've got your food, water, shade, shower, a plot of land to call home, and cool people to hang out with. You've got four hours of bicycle repair work at our camp every day (8 days), a couple years of bicycle shop experience, a Burning Man ticket, transportation to the Playa, and sleeping materials (tent, sleeping bag, etc.). If you can spend a week after Burning Man helping us clean up our rental fleet, we'll pay for your ticket as well. The week after Burning Man comes with room, board, and a stipend. Hammer And Cyclery is very focused on bicycles. We are open from 10:30am to 5:30pm daily but we're often working on bikes before and after this. Our bikes start at our used bike shops in Minneapolis, but our members (veterans and virgins) hail from Minnesota, California, New York, and beyond.
