Bicycle Rental for Burning ManComrades! Join the struggle to disseminate bicycle repair, advice, and the color red. Hammer And Cyclery delivers rental bicycles to Burning Man. Rent your bike online and pick it up at our camp whenever you arrive. Then send us your tired, your poor, etc. because we're around all week to repair any bicycle that needs it. Our supporters help Hammer And Cyclery promote self reliance through Playa bicycle repair, Burner bike workshops, and inspiring (and terrifying) Burning Man cycling stories. Camp Hammer and Cyclery delivers bicycles to the Playa (bike rentals provided by Re-Cycle at Bikes4Burners.com) and we use the proceeds to fund the biggest, reddest bicycle repair camp we can muster. 2012 is sure to be the reddest year yet! We are hoping to double the number of bicycles we bring and more than triple the size of Hammer And Cyclery by constructing ever larger monuments to the Great Society (of cyclists)! Hammer and Cyclery is the destination point for pick up and drop off of hundreds of bicycle pre-rentals. We have the practiced resources and comrades to support this entire operation and more, so do not hesitate to depend on us throughout the week (Monday to Monday). Stop by for spoke work, safety consultations, tire pressure check, seat adjustment, or just to swap crash stories and celebrate the color red. We will not be bringing spare parts to the Playa, but we will be happy to use the People’s bicycles (i.e. donor bikes (Yellow Bikes DO NOT count as donor bikes!)) that can be scavenged for parts to keep other Burners rolling. So bring us your tired, your poor and we will make sure that everything donated is used or removed from the Playa.
